A blend of 60% polyester, 20% cotton, and 20% silk creates this single ply yarn with a subtly nubby tweedy texture. It is a dream for those looking for something a little more distinctive than a basic yarn, but still with an everyday appeal. Touch of Silk is a perfect option for garments and accessories for all genders. Unlike yarns with high silk content, this yarn does not have a “crunchy” hand feel. It is soft, scratch-free, and suited for against-the-skin wear. Projects can be machine washed, but lay items flat to dry to maintain their shape.

It will also be my last time. It smells awful. I tried to air it out to no avail. I’m rolling with the punches though. The drape isn’t great so I’m using a larger than recommended set of needles. It helps a lot. I do like it’s tweed like look. All in all, I love Lion Brand but I’ll stay away from this Touch of Silk in the future.

I like the look and feel of this yarn. My first skein however, gave me trouble finding the ends and kept sticking together because of the combination of the fibers. So, it's not smooth when pulling more yarn to use. But, it is a minor annoyance. I would use this yarn again. The shawl I'm making looks lovely and the pattern is evident.
I absolutely loved this yarn , I think it has been discontinued so I am glad I got all the colors I needed, it's so easy to work with an just looks beautiful made up.
This yarn is soft to the touch but it has a bad musty smell. The smell hasn’t gone away even after I opened the plastic and let it breathe. I’m hoping that after I make something with it and wash it it will go away. If not, it would be a complete waste; I cannot picture myself wearing anything that smells this bad.
Wonderful yarn to work with. Always a pleasure to knit with soft yarn and a joy to see the results.
I’ve never had a yarn from LB that had a funny smell to it. This yarn does have a bad scent to it. It’s not very soft in the skein. I haven’t worked with it yet to see if that changes.
