I am allergic to lanolin. Gave this a try and it worked out reasonably well. It is a little scratchy, but have not washed it yet. The color is exactly as pictured.

This fiber has a great feel. It was easy to work with, minimal tangling, and the finished afghan will be great to cuddle into on a chilly night.

Delectable Colors and So Soft Yarn

I used the lovely jade green with a Caron Cloud Cakes in selected soft blues and grays. A perfect gift infinity scarf! Can’t wait to use the other Touch of Alpaca yarns purchased.

Beautiful color but too itchy for me, and hard to frog.

I loved working with this yarn and it felt beautiful in the skein, but it snagged horribly when frogging and my final cardigan is unfortunately too itchy for me to wear. Looking into ways of softening the fabric. I may just be sensitive to alpaca, but something to keep in mind when purchasing.

HI Ashleigh - we're sorry you had trouble ripping back with this yarn! It's a beautiful FO and we hope that it softens up so you can wear it comfortably.

Disappointed

Touch of Luxe is generous wording for this line of yarn. As for touch of alpaca in this yarn feels like an average acrylic yarn.
Equally disappointing are the splices. So far I had one in my first skein and two in my second. See picture for result with splice. This was not advertised as seconds, quality is not firsts.
See pic for example of splice

Hello Lauren - our apologies for any knots you've encountered in your yarn. We do allow for up to 3 or 4 knots in a single skein, depending on the yardage, as the mill may need to tie on new yarn in order to wind a full ball. We suggest cutting out the knot and treating the two ends as new strands of yarn, leaving enough length to weave in later.
