The most recent yarn I purchased is much better. I have used Pound of Love yarn for many years and only recently had problems with it. Problems with multiple knots in the yarn, unable to find the starting end and actual cuts or breaks in the yarn. This last order has been much better.

I absolutely love lLion Brand yarn. It never fails to please when I crochet any project especially baby items and blankets. We do not have the range of colors here in Mobile, AL that we use to so I have to order when on sale or with free shipping.

Good value, but indeed expect "value brand" levels of softness (not scratchy, not cozy either)

This is one big ball of yarn! Love the color, knits up looking great, but you should expect this to be value-level softness. By that I mean: It is not itchy and will make some lovely kids scarves, but it isn't something you'll be rubbing against your face because it is so soft either. I'm honestly uncertain whether I will or won't buy the value skein again because I am able to pay a little more for something softer. If it were between this skein and an equally-priced skein (something like red heart value yarn), I would still choose this one because it is still fit for purpose and not terribly scratchy. I'm personally looking forward to giving the "feels like butta" line a try instead next go around in spite of the price difference.
