Make way for Mac-Re-Me! Macramé crafting continues to soar in popularity, and we created a super bulky (CYC #6) 100% recycled cotton yarn that’s perfect for the craft – and for your knitting and crochet projects, too! The way the yarn is twisted allows you to comb the ends for fringe to get the classic macramé look. From soothing neutrals to more saturated hues, choose your favorite colors to create home décor projects like plant hangers and wall hangings, plus shawls, jewelry, and gifts.

18" Crochet Floor Vase

Holds up to the height test. A little difficult to work with at first but once I change my mindset about this yarn and purpose, it gave me the results I am looking for.

Mineral is more like light taupe!

The photo for Mineral looks like dark ivory or a pale yellow with a grey undertone, but what I got is more light taupe in person. The cord is equivalent to 4mm macrame cord but isn’t twisted up tightly enough, so the cord splits very easily. It’s nice to have bulky recycled cotton yarn though, so hope to see a new and improved version of something similar!

Hello MT - thank you for your feedback!

Unwinds like crazy

I bought this to make my first macrame plant hanger. Loved that it was thick, but the yarn unwinds a ton into a dozen individual strands which makes it hard to tie precise clean even knots

Should have listened to the earlier reviews.....

I bought this to crochet baskets and unfortunately am finding it VERY hard to work with. The multiple strands do not stay together, and you have to constantly re-twist them to be able to yarn over and pull through. I ended up not using them for this reason. Maybe will try to macrame something in the future.

Hello Jacs - thank you for the feedback, and we're sorry that this yarn didn't work for your project!

difficult crocheting

I wanted to crochet a mat for by my kitchen sink and thought macrame yarn would be nice and durable. I had so much difficulty with this because the multiple strands kept separating and I had to spend time undoing and redoing. I tried twisting it as I was working, but that got tedious. There's no way to pull the "yarn" from the inside of the skein to see if the twist would stay. Too annoying. I gave up on the project.

Hello Patricia - we're sorry you had trouble working with this yarn, but thank you for your feedback.
