Love this yarn so much! It's much more beautiful in person and has wonderful drape. The colors are so rich and earthy. I havent used it for crochet or knitting yet, but it was very easy to work with for my macrame project. I made a long vest and the yarn looks and feels so high quality. Sad to see it go, but I appreciate Lion Brand bringing us high quality, recycled yarn options.
I needed a yarn that I felt was not going to stretch or pull in any way. This certainly does the trick. It is a bit difficult to work with using a crochet hook due to all the strands (and I am still pretty new to the craft). However, I think it is a great yarn for certain uses.
This yarn is exactly what I was looking for--I wanted a very thick cotton yarn, preferably either organic or recycled, to weave a yoga mat. I would not recommend it for the warp, but it worked very well for the weft. I would love to see it come in some more colors. Maybe a deep green and a saturated purple? I will definitely be buying lots, lots more!
Pretty yarn, love the colors & the hand. Also like the fact that it is made from recycled fibers.
My only complaint is that the ends are loose & the fiber unwinds on the tips of the yarn, giving the ends a frayed quality.
I like to see how unlikely yarns turn out in unlikely projects. I recently crocheted the Triple Top pattern from OTH Crochet Nook using natural color Mac-Re-Me yarn. It's a bulky and heavy sweater, but turned out the way I wanted, with that 70's vibe I was hoping for!
