Soft cotton

I love this yarn, it is soft and easy to crochet with. I took off 1 star because there was a knot in each skein. So far I've used it to make the Lion Brand top-down crocheted vest, free pattern no. 30243.

Wonderful cotton yarn

So soft and yet substantial. I love it. I made washcloths but I think it is strong enough for a sweater

Not happy, see photos.

Ordinarily I am quite pleased with the Pima yarn but this batch of Dragonfly, of the skeins used so far, have had these strange areas that look as if the yarn got caught on something while being twisted together. As you can see in the photos. There were several of these in the skeins PLUS the usual knots. Looks to me like the machinery messed up but the operator just kept going or perhaps was not aware of the problem. Three of these plus one or two knots in one skein makes for a very messy look, in my opinion. Only way I figured to fix this was to cut the bad part out and knot them back together. If Lion Brand has a better suggestion I would like to hear it. Yarn is pretty expensive (even on sale) these days so I feel having quality yarn is a must. I also would be interested to know what caused this.
