Stainless steel and mohair

I’ve been considering this yarn with a stainless steel core for many years and finally decided to give it a try. When you pull it off the cone it feels like a hair (so thin) so I was skeptical that it would really make any impact. I threaded it with a lovely light weight kid mohair and cast on 80 stitches on US11 (I know huge but I wanted an airy look for this shawl). After just 10 rows I could really see the magic that the stainless steel does. The stitches have a beautiful definition and the drape is just a bit heavier giving the fabric more substance. Still light and airy yet with that something-something. I’m ordering more. Sorry I waited so long that other colors no longer available. Try it, you will like it.
