SKU: 475-212

$13.99
Hand-dyed yarns add an artisanal touch to everything you make. Merino is prized for a low micron count and is one of the softest wool available. This highly twisted yarn is soft, spongy and has excellent stitch definition. You already put your valuable time into your projects so each one is unique with a hand-dyed skein. Please buy enough yarn to make your project as colors may vary and each skein is individually dyed.

disappointed

This yarn is definitely not a 4. I bought the trick or treat intending to make something for my daughter who thought the Anya name of this yarn was perfect (her name is Anya). There is no way this weight of yarn can be used to make what I intended it for without buying more that I cannot afford. Now I am trying to figure out what I can make of a much lighter yarn. I want to try other colors, but I won't pay that amount for a yarn that can't be used how I intended to use it.

Hello Heide - The LBC Hand Dyed Superwash Merino is on the lighter end of the worsted weight range, and it may work better for you as a DK weight yarn. If you need pattern suggestions you can email us at support@lionbrand.com, or use the filters on our pattern page to look for patterns using a #3 light weight yarn.

Beautiful Yarn but Poor Skeins

This yarn is beautiful, and the colors are so vivid in person. It is soft and nice to work with. I will agree with the other comments that it does run quite small. However, the reason why I took away a star is that the skeins are impossible to unravel. I used my yarn winder and swift, but the skeins were so tangled, it was difficult to make just a few cakes. I spent several hours untangling just one skein. I’m not sure if it was just my particular batch, but I am disappointed that such a gorgeous yarn is tarnished by poor skeining.

Now I understand the joy of premium yarn!

A "try this yarn" discount has led to additional purchases to make more things with it. I love the feel of it! The colors are gorgeous. The process of winding the hanks into balls became a way to enforce moving slower. Some days, it's needed. Yes, I'll be buying more.

Great yarn!

Gorgeous colors. Sometimes I just like to look at the skein for a while after I receive the order.

So disappointed

This was the first time I've splurged on yarn that cost more than $6 and it is a such a disappointment. Right out of the box, I can see at least four huge knots in two skeins and several sections where the yarn has pulled apart. It's obvious no one even looked at it before throwing it in the box, much less any kind of quality control before that.

Hello Katharyn - our apologies for the excessive knots! Please email our quality control team at support@lionbrand.com so they can help you out with this.
