The Muir Blanket is a reflection of nature. The peaks and transitions of color are reminiscent to me of walks through a forest or the layers of mountains and hillsides. Named after John Muir and his quote: “And into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul.”

Hi, I’m Trista! I’ve been crocheting since 2011 and I learned how to knit a few years later. I am a wife and a mom to 4 children. Art has been part of my life since I was a child. Initially I began crocheting so that I could make things for my oldest son, but it turned into more than just a hobby; it quickly became a passion that has been with me through all sorts of ups and downs. My inspiration comes from many places; nature, meaningful life experiences, and sometimes just beautiful simplicity. I especially enjoy blanket designs. You can often find me hanging in the living room or the deck, on a nice day, working on one of my many projects with a hot cup of coffee or tea by my side.

Nice blanket

I'm knitting the Muir Woods pattern in the black variegated yarn that is indicated. I'm partially done. The pattern is easy to follow and the yarn works well and is soft. Can't wait to finish it. I've attached a photo of work in progress.

Love this yarn and it is so soft and is working out beautiful. Should be done with the afghan fairly soon.
