Knit Kit - The Astronomer Throw

SKU: B71497

The Astronomer Throw is a wonderfully squishy, cozy, oversized throw blanket perfect for cold winter nights. The colorwork is created with mosaic knitting, so only one color is used at a time and the design is created with slipped stitches. The fabric created is warm and thick, with an excellent “squish factor.

Pattern Designer Info
My name is Chenoa, and I created jellyKNITTING in order to share an artistic passion of mine with the fiber world. My primary goal is and has always been to create patterns that allow people of all kinds feel beautiful, powerful, and included. I grew tired of seeing gorgeous patterns that simply didn’t look as if they considered the variety of body types that the world has to offer, so I decided to create my own designs.

I made it GLOW

So, I have wanted to use the glow yarn and when I saw this astroblanket I knew I'd found the perfect project to incorporate it.

I've started and added the GLO yarn to the contrasting color in the pattern. It provides just enough "wink" to make it twinkle. I've only completed the first pattern repeat and have a bit of a way to go, but I'm really liking the result. It's so fun to step away at night and then come back in to see the starlight in the blanket. I think my grandson will enjoy it.

I'll provide a picture when It is completed.
