One of my Great Grandsons request for Christmas was that he wanted a blanket to keep him warm, (1 week before Christmas) I found the Modern Mountain Throw and thought it was perfect. I hope he will like it.
What a joy to knit!! I have used WET&Q for years but never in the Fossil color way, and it lets the “mountain” pattern of this throw be the star!! The shifting colors give light and dark aspects to the “mountains”, and give the throw a watercolor appearance. As for the mountain stitch pattern, it is easy to knit and feels “advanced”, but it is beginner friendly! I’ll be making this pattern again!!
this throw appears hard but it is real easy. It is very pretty and my sister loved it.
I bought this kit which is a first for me!! My granddaughter is going into a dorm setting for school soon & I wanted something for her bed. This is perfect!! Soft, bulky & washable!! Very easy pattern & very attractive!! I hope she loves it!!
The only thing I would recommend is to knit an extra chevron pattern to finish pattern..there was enough wool left over…balanced the pattern..wool is soft and warm..pleasant to work with
I just love the cool texture of this pattern and the “earthy” tones. I’m currently knitting this for my daughter’s anniversary. She has a charcoal couch and I think this will be a great snuggly throw to cozy up with. I’m so grateful for this beautiful pattern!!!
