This cardigan has a quilt like texture that is an easy knit and purl repeat. The entire cardigan works up in panel pieces with simple shaping at the underarm for a fantastic fit! The lapel works up with the front so there’s no picking up of stitches. And yes, we have pockets! They’re cutely hidden on the inside so the texture shines from all angles.

I love the knitted fabric of this sweater but you will need to buy more yarn

I wish the web site would provide information on the model so the correct amount of yarn can be ordered. I followed the sizing on the web site and sized up one to be sure to have enough yarn. It turns out the model is 5'1" tall - a petite. I am 5'7" (tall side of average) and, needless to say, I had to buy more yarn and may need one more ball after that since the work is still in progress. Sleeves will no doubt need to be lengthened as well.
That said, I am a beginner knitter and am loving this sweater so far. The fabric produced by these simple instructions is wonderfully textured and forgiving of beginner issues.
