This pattern is great for re-learning knitters like me, as well as more experienced ones. My granddaughter, daughter and I are each making it in our own colors (my variegated hides my clumsy knitting). I just wish i could choose a printed pattern, rather than a pdf. In general, I love finding patterns at Lion Brand! So many to choose from, easy to sort through, and most are free. My favorite place for quality products and patterns!
For a 16-row repeat pattern, it’s simple enough to memorize but intricate to make a beautiful piece. Purchased the pattern for a gift, now need to buy more yarn to make one for myself!
Bought this pattern as part of a kit and was so happy. I was teaching my friend how to knit so we ended up just knitting the scarf in garter stitch and not the pattern specified. Nonetheless, she cast on the same amount of stitches and it produced a very wide blanket scarf. Please note the cast on number will yield a very wide blanket scarf, but that is what we were going for. A wonderful first project!
This is a wonderful project to knit! It is completely reversible, and the yarn weight is perfect. The yarn feels so soft in my hands and is a pleasure to knit with. The shawl is turning out beautifully in Magic Hour. I like this yarn and kit so much that I bought another one, in Juniper, and the Highlands Wrap kit! This is my favorite yarn!
