Almost too easy

Definitely easy and quick. Good first blanket project. I used 47" circular needles which reduced risk of slipping off when put down quickly for an interruption. By the 5th stripe I needed a bit of variation so I switched up the stripe width (half width then quarter width) which provided extra visual interest, but meant more ends to weave in so others may or may not enjoy doing it. The yarn with extra fibers sheds a bit (hence the 4 rating instead of a 5) but my daughter loves it...and so do her cats. We're happy.

EASY PEASY!! (and fun and quick)

Made the lap version first. Quick-easy. Then made three more but the larger versions...everyone has loved them. Easy wash... just a typical thick and quick yarn. You shouldn't even remotely need to worry about washing it. Secret is the yarn color...make sure there is a pattern to at least one of the colored yarns (cream for secondary) and a solid (third) Plan to make a couple more...folks have requested for Xmas gifts.

I'm about two thirds done with a throw size and the yarn seems a lot fuzzier than the finished afghans pictured. I was going to give this to my daughter-in-law for her birthday but I'm concerned it is going to be hard to take care of. I usually wash my items before I give them but after I read someone say that this thick and quick doesn't wash well, I'm afraid to wash it.
