This is my second Coffee Shop Wrap! Working on a third now. I love Alex Tavel's designs and love the drape and hand of Lion Brand 24/7 cotton for this project. It is just perfect!
There is a filter on the photos for kit to make it look dulled down. What looks like a cream/Carmel color is a bright orange. Also what looks like light/ dark blue, is gray. Disappointed that the colors did not match what was in the pictures.
I'm not sure if it's me or the pattern, somewhere it got flipped and the ws became the rs. I went back to try and fix it and didn't manage to correct it. (Counted all my rows and everything "should" be right, but it's not) Right now this wip is in the bottom of my bag. I really want this to turn out well but might just have to toss it, really frustrated with it.
Hello Michaela - we're sorry the yarn colors weren't as expected and you're having trouble with this pattern! If you need more help with the instructions, please email our pattern support team at [email protected].
I enjoyed making this wrap! The cotton yarn is soft and nice to work with. I had a good result!
I purchased this kit with the plan of taking it on a long upcoming car trip. The cotton yarn feels so soft and the colours are stunning. Can’t wait to start!!
So easy to knit and looks great when done. I’ve made a few.
I am currently working on my Coffee Shop Wrap, and I am finding the process enjoyable. Using relatively large knitting needles for the yarn in the kit produces a nice drape, so I think I will enjoy wearing my wrap once I finish. As other reviewers pointed out, the yarn shades seem to differ from how they look in the designer's photo of the wrap, so I changed from Goldenrod to Camel, from the dark gray to Denim, and from the light gray to Sky. I love how these shades look with the original Ecru and Café Au Lait, and to me this color combo more closely resembles the designer's photo of the wrap.
