A scarf that doubles as a wrap? That triples as a sweater? Yup. Count me in. The newest addition to my sweater scarf design collection is a worsted weight, cozy scarf with sleeves made with a blown alpaca yarn that gives the most beautiful soft halo and drape. It can be worn multiple ways: as a regular scarf, with the cross in the front, or with the cross in the back. Each gives it a delicate and ethereal look and feel. Pair it with a tee and some ripped jeans for a more laid-back vibe or drape it around your shoulders on top of a little black dress (or your wedding dress!) for date night; this piece is perfect for all occasions.
NOTE: if you are ordering Pink, Olive, Amber, Terracotta, Taupe, or Charcoal please adjust the quantity to 8 (10, 12) skeins. These colors have less yardage per skein.
Knit in stockinette flat on size US 10.5/6.5 mm needles blocked 14 sts x 19 rows = 4” x 4” (10 x 10 cm)
Knit in ribbing flat on size US 7/4.5mm needles (not stretched) 28 sts x 28 rows = 4” x 4” (10 x 10 cm)
A (XS - M), B (L - 2X), C (3X - 5X)

This yarn is beautiful and the pattern is so easy to follow. I have a formal gala to attend and this sweater / scarf /wrap is perfect since early spring is still fairly chilly. I love the simplicity of it and the braided edges give it a more classy design. I know it will be perfect both in formal and casual attire. And who doesn’t want multi-purpose use?!?
The pattern instructions are unclear. It was missing row 8, referred row 10 to repeat row 4 and row 4 said to do a row 2 ??? It continued to have this nonsense throughout.
I have over 40 years experience which helped to figure it out.
