Not a weight 4, sticks - very soft

I haven't worked with mohair before, but this definitely sticks to itself and is difficult to frog. If you can avoid it, try not to frog too much with this - I ended up getting halfway through my frogging and just cutting the yarn. The label says this is a weight 4 - it definitely isn't - I used a 4mm crochet hook and the project is still working up to be quite hole-y. Does work up very soft and bouncy in texture - I can imagine it would also add nice texture when held together with another yarn. Still a great, cheaper alternative to mohair if you have a sensitivity.

Faux Mo is a new favorite!

I’m obsessed with this yarn and how incredibly soft it was! I crocheted a light and airy top with it but I’m looking forward to crocheting a cardigan next as it is so cozy. It is a thin strand with fibers that are blown out so it doesn’t match your typical CYC 4 yarn but I had no problem using it as such which the suggested hook size.

Okay, I cannot say enough about this yarn. Maybe it's not as fuzzy as mohair, but that's even better in my opinion! Faux Mo has less fuzziest, is a bit thicker, same light and fluffy when held double or triple, and just SO soft! I used this yarn held triple stranded on 8-mm needles. I have a vision of a fluffy cabled cardigan, I can't wait to get more of this yarn to make one of my first patterns with it!

This yarn is so fun to work with and to wear—I’m so sad it’s been discontinued!

Beautiful colors

I bought several colors on sale and they look beautiful in person. Thin yarn, I will use with another low pile yarn to add fluffliness to rhe project.

Super soft but discontinued too soon

I loved this yarn the minute I received it, and I was so disappointed when it was discontinued before I could stock up on more colors. I’m so glad I got the two colors I was able to get, because it’s soooo soft and airy. I’m not opposed to using traditional mohair, but honestly Faux Mo is softer, and it’s much more approachable than traditional mohair. It’s definitely not the type of yarn you want to make a mistake with because it’s so hard to undo stitches, but to me the occasional difficulty is well worth the softness of this yarn. I just wish it wasn’t discontinued so quickly!
