Dots and Dashes Throw Blanket (Crochet)

I really like that patterns are put together with yarn to create a kit. I ordered the complete kit for this throw to make and give as a gift. There were shipping delays. When I finally received my order the yarn was just loose in the cardboard box. I expected it to be in a plastic bag before being packed in the box. I did not like the yarn. It splits almost on its own. Thank goodness I left long tails and was able to weave the ends in very well because they keep popping out from behind the stitches and are splitting. I’m going to have to use some fabric glue to keep them hidden. I’ve never had to do that on any project. One thing I didn’t notice when placing the order was that the grapefruit colored yarn is listed twice so now I have a full extra skein I don’t need. I loved the pattern though and it’s very well written but that’s the only thing I’m happy about. I expected so much more from Lion Brand.
