Beautiful but Heavy!

The pattern took me two weeks and a day to complete! It looks very pretty! I used two different colors than the pattern called for to suit my tastes! The final project is very heavy, no doubt die to the weight and amount of yarn used. Whether it was the looseness of my working the stitches or not, I ended up having to buy two extra skeins of the Homespun yarn to finish, so I would add a side note to the pattern mentioning that you may require extra yarn that specified. Also, as the final product tends to run a bit long and the heaviness, it tends to pull down from the top and stretch the head opening at the top. To counteract this from stretching further, at the top where you slip your head through, I sewed in the edges about two inches from the ends on both sides to make the hole smaller and therefore it holds better on your shoulders and prevents sagging and stretching of the opening! I would also suggest adding another note to the pattern, due to the stringy-ness of the Homespun yarn it can be difficult to make sure you are making right amount of stitches, and it is important at the end of each row, you should count the number of stitches are correct to prevent making mistakes! Overall, a very nice project!
