Pattern does not match Picture

I just finished this pattern. The finished pattern is a third the size of the shawl that is shown. It says it will be 30 inches long, yet what I followed turned out 10 inches long. This pattern needs to be reviewed.

Hello Mary Anne - have you tried blocking the shawl yet? Keep in mind that the finished dimensions of the pattern are given after the item is blocked. Since this is a lace pattern blocking will help to open up the stitches and add length to the pattern. You may also want to try going up a hook size or two if you tend to be a tight crocheter.
