This afghan was inspired by the colors of Monet’s Water Lilies series of paintings. When I decided to do this, I started searching for the right yarn colors and discovered that the Mandala Ombré yarn from Lion Brand was perfect! Along with the wave stitch, you get the feel and look of water with very little effort. Always a win in my book.

Hi! I'm Tia. I love crochet, tea, and the simple things in life. I’m originally from Maryland, but I now love calling North Carolina my home. I love the meditative quality of crochet, and I try to keep my designs simple to preserve that. I get my inspiration from various places, but mostly it comes from whatever yummy yarn I get my hands on - feeling the textures and seeing the colors always inspires me. My husband is my best friend, my biggest supporter, and my photographer! He wears many hats. I also have two grown children who are the world to me.
