Too busy for the yarn choice

I totally agree with the first review by Christine that the project is not mindless. The reason for only 3 stars from me is that the wave pattern cannot be seen in the pictures of the afghan, nor when you make the afghan because the color way changes so quickly. I think it is a great pattern for a solid color yarn, so you can actually see the waves. But the bulky, velvet feel yarn is not the easiest to work with, and there is no reason for such an intricate pattern. Honestly, I did not even realize when I ordered the kit that it had such a pattern of waves. If you can't really see it, why bother ? Yarn is great, pattern is great. Combination, not so much.

It's a pretty pattern. It isn't difficult but you have to pay close attention to the pattern, not at all a mindless project. Making the waves requires concentration to not miss a stitch or add one of the wrong kind. That being said I love the afghan.
