excellent directions

Directions were very clear. I need that because I'm a novice at crochet. I was not happy with the appearance of my sample. Even though I did a gauge swatch and it matched, the whole thing was way too loose. I switched to a much smaller hook and am happier with the result. Also talked with granddaughter who is an expert and she suggested inserting the hook into the stitch instead of the space and I like the way that looks much better too.
