The square is lovely, the pattern is terribly written

The pattern, particularly rounds 5-7, is badly written. I couldn't understand why the spacing seemed wonky, until I watched the video (which absolutely shouldn't be necessary) - it's because she often works into a SPACE when the pattern says STITCH - also, in round 5 at the corners the video completely contradicts the pattern (pattern says to stitch into last HDC, video says to skip it). There are lots of other ways the pattern is unclear or wrong (she's rarely clear on how to treat all the odd chain stiches she adds at the start of a round), and it doesn't provide a stitch count per round, either, which isn't required but is very helpful.

The yarn is lovely, and once you understand the pattern, so is the square. But the written pattern needs serious editing. The video seems correct, the written pattern does not.

Hello Elizabeth - we're sorry you had such trouble with this pattern! If you'd like any further help with this pattern, or believe that there are errors to be corrected, please contact us at [email protected] so we can review the directions.
