Beautiful Item, with a twist

I found the pattern itself very interesting and generally easy to follow. A suggestion would be to use the colors for each flower in the diagram rather than numbers - when I printed the pattern it is in black/white, so the color pattern is lost. I would also suggest that the ends get weaved as you go along rather than waiting until the project is complete.

I kept looking at it, looking at it, looking at it.... and finally got the kit. I love the color theory yarn and have been wanting to learn the skill of joining
motifs while making the garment. I've been crocheting for 50 yrs but I'm chicken! Never tried it.

Beautiful Shawl

I liked the look of this shawl as soon as I saw it on the kit page. I don't normally buy kits, but I have wanted to try Color Theory yarn and I couldn't get past the originality of this design. I bought the kit, I changed out the warm colors for grays and "admiral," which I thought was gray, but is actually a gray-dark blue. All the colors matched and went together well. Before the kit arrived, I downloaded the pattern and tried the motif and the join. The join is very easy, and I was surprised at that, and so is the flower motif. This is the first shawl I have made that has you joining as you go, and it works well, I saw the shawl shape up right before my eyes. Love the pattern, love that all the colors matched perfectly. Oh and the buttery texture of this yarn is wonderful. I expected it to be just like cotton, but it couldn't be further from cotton. I look forward to making more projects from this designer.

So cool!

This pattern is awesome. The directions are so clear and easy to follow complete with plenty of photos. The flowers themselves are super easy to make. You do need to be patient while making this many little flowers, but it is so satisfying.
