Beautiful, satisfying pattern

I love Jess's patterns. This one has just been a delight to make, and is just super useful--I only learned to crochet 2 years ago, so I'm just building my skills and developing a library of go-to patterns to make again and again. This is going to be one of them for sure. I love the way these two yarns and colorways work together (I'm already trying to figure out another colorway pairing for a future project). I was glad neither of these colorways got TOO pale; there still can be a lot of contrast depending how the colors line up, but it's never jarring. The overall effect is quite autumnal, super cozy! I increased the size a little bit (made 71 rows) to get a color repeat I wanted to finish with. This is a gift for my SIL (shhh, don't tell, she won't get it til next month).

Great colors, spectacular yarn.

I’m loving working with these yarns for the Mesa blanket. The pattern is fun and easy to remember without being boring. Colors are scrumpruous. I doubt if the striping will appear as the sample pictures, but it’s not going to matter. Its going to be lovely when finished. I want to use the pattern and yarns in another blanket with a change in colors.

Neat, easy pattern

I am thoroughly enjoying crocheting this blanket pattern. It certainly does lend itself to watching TV while you work! The only reasons why I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is that the colorway has not played out anything like the picture--the colors are much more muted and I have inordinate amounts of beige spaces punctuated by small areas of the darker colors. Secondly, there are Ferris wheel segments that are so thinned that I had to cut them out. This is the first time I've ever had this problem with any yarn. Otherwise, it is a fun pattern that I will replicate in the future --but, perhaps, with different yarn.

Great Combination!

I love both of these yarns and the colors are gorgeous together! The pattern is simple but ends up looking like it was complicated. It's a great project if you haven't crocheted in a long time and want to reclaim your skills.

Great start to next year's Christmas presents!

I love this kit

I have made 2 of these so far. It was easy but definitely kept my interest because of the color combinations. You are never quite sure what's coming next.
