Love this cute pattern!

I have a few bucket hat patterns. The lace panel is so cute and adds a touch of class to a summer necessity. The chemo patients who receive these love the look and feel, as well as the vibrant colors of 24/7 cotton yarn. Win-win!!

Q

I have loved 24/7 since it was introduced, and I think it's the perfect cotton for both bags and hats. I chose the new color, vintage lilac, for Summer use. And my favorite stitch is any type of shells!

WHY TURN?

Do not understand why each round needs to be turned. It works just as well to slip stitch to join and the continue with the pattern. Would like to have read the pattern through before ordering.

Hi Jonna - working in joined & turned rounds, as the pattern calls for, will give the fabric a different look than if you worked in continuous spiral rounds, with no turning. Both are valid techniques, but the designer wanted the effect of alternating RS and WS rounds for this particular pattern. You can certainly modify it to be worked in continuous rounds, just be aware that it won't look exactly like the picture on the kit page.
