Not so happy with pattern

I loved the picture. The yarn is good. But the pattern was not written like any I've used before. Instead of giving stitch counts, It gave descriptions which made no sense to me. I also figured after trying the yarn that it would not be appropriate for a big bag, too stretchy, probably not really durable. So, I will use the yarn for a winter hat. It will be really cozy and make good gifts.
