This is a lovely beginner friendly pattern, and crocheted up in just a weekend. The thick yarn makes progress quick, and the variegation adds color depth and interest into the throw. Made it as a gift, and the recipient was very pleased.
Crocheted as called for in the pattern, with recommended hook size and cast on stitches. End product is stretchy, and warm with just enough ventilation from the holes. Do not skip the white border, it really ties the whole thing together.
This kit took very long to arrive. When it did the kit came with enough yarn to arguabley make a large place mat, not a blanket. I had to undo what I started and scale the pattern. I had to order another 80$ in yarn to complete a pretty small throw. It’s a thick relatively nice looking throw. But does not stripe like the pattern. It ended up costing about 155$ to complete. Yarn has inconsistent thickness. I would not recommend this kit
Had trouble following pattern, suggest video to show (slowly) where to insert crochet hook.
Because pattern may be wrong not enough wool to make described size.

I have always been intimated by crocheting with a pattern but this pattern is super easy and fun. I love it! So much so that I ordered 4 kits and made a throw for my recliner & one for my couch. I love the yarn. It is thick, soft, and bulky and it builds up quickly. I will be ordering more kits & yarn from Lion Brand.
