Light, colorful, soft, and fuzzy! Makes the perfect baby blanket.

I loved working on this blanket! As a newbie crocheter, I was nervous about my first "real" project being a blanket, but this pattern was easy to follow, being that it is just a repetition of two stitches. The baby I made this for is due in the summer, so I wanted something that was airy and light. The size of the blanket ended up being smaller than the pattern, but I also chose to stop after about 2 1/2 skeins; it is more of a square than a rectangle. I also opted to add sweet scallops to the outside edge for more of a girly flair. I highly recommend this pattern and yarn; the pops of color look so nice and add interest to the blanket. FYI, blocking it makes all the difference in the shape, so don't get nervous (like I did) if you have wonky corners!

Light and easy

While waiting for scarfie lite yarn to arrive, I used two colors of regular scarfie to try out the flip side throw. I’m delighted with the outcome: a light, soft but warm throw that whips up quickly. The extended half double crochet makes a nice ridged pattern on one side, which may explain the name. Can’t wait for the scarfie lite to see how it compares.

Easy and comfy

The pattern is easy and can be great project on the go (do not drive and hook😉). And the yarn is so soft making this throw hard to donate to Project Linus, an organization that takes handcrafted baby blankets and adult afghans in any type of media (crochet, knit, quilt, and no sew fleece). And the price cannot be beat.
