Knit Kit - Elk and Vine: Hat and Cowl

SKU: B71194

The Elk and Vine hat and cowl are inspired by velvet Elk antlers and the changing ombre colors of Fall. Elk like to nibble on Vine Maple year-round, so some elongated knit stitches were added to represent twigs and the changing of the season.

*Please note: the designer used all 312 yards of Scarfie to make this set. We suggest purchasing an extra ball if you normally have to adjust your gauge.

Pattern Designer Information
Hi, I’m Trista! I’ve been crocheting since 2011 and I learned how to knit a few years later. I am a wife and a mom to 4 children. Art has been part of my life since I was a child. Initially I began crocheting so that I could make things for my oldest son, but it turned into more than just a hobby; it quickly became a passion that has been with me through all sorts of ups and downs. My inspiration comes from many places; nature, meaningful life experiences, and sometimes just beautiful simplicity. I especially enjoy blanket designs. You can often find me hanging in the living room or the deck, on a nice day, working on one of my many projects with a hot cup of coffee or tea by my side.

Very pretty

I like the yarn and the pattern. It came out really pretty. I'm guessing my gauge was too loose because I cut off the cowl a several rows short of the pattern. It's still a nice size and I didn't do a swatch to check gauge. My bad.
