Diana basket

I like my completed basket. I used Crush, but using a lighter color would have made it easier to see the stitches. I followed the pattern and actually counted crochet stitches on each row; however, the row joins started out lined up but then took on an angle. Any suggestions?

Hello Mary - it's not unusual for items crocheted in the round to have the start of the round move in a spiral around the item. You can combat that by working in joined & turned rounds, but if the pattern doesn't call for that it could be tricky to adapt the directions!

I’m enjoying making this bag. The pattern is interesting and easy to follow. My one concern is that I’m using the yarn pictured and it is splitting. I’ve used this hue yarn several times in different colors without this issue, so maybe it’s this color or die lot.

Hi Susan - we're sorry you're having trouble with the yarn splitting! If you haven't already, we suggest using a hook with a blunt tip, so it doesn't split the strand of the yarn as you're working the stitch.
