Love the stitch but the pattern is lacking

Instructions for managing yarn changes and finishing with a border were missing.

Good yarn, questionable pattern instructions

While the yarn quality was fine, the written pattern instructions were lacking. If I were a teacher assigning a grade to the written instructions, I'd give it a C- or even a D. It looked like someone just took an existing Alpine Stitch pattern and inserted the yarn changes (Main Color, Contrasting Color) at the beginning of each line, without actually reading it. No where is a "fasten off" indicated, or - heaven forbid - an expectation of carrying the previous color along the full width of the blanket to start the next row. An experienced crocheter would be able to figure it out, but if a novice thought that buying a kit would be a good choice, they would be woefully disappointed and frustrated.

Fun, easy project!

This is the perfect cozy winter project! The Alpine stitch has enough different stitch types involved and the color gradient is beautiful -- I was never bored making this blanket!
