Crochet Kit - Colorful Chevrons Blanket

Just like the granny square, the chevron has to be one of the most classic and iconic crochet blanket designs. And with good reason - the valleys and peaks of the design are eye-catching and draw the viewer into the stitch work of the blanket. And with the Colorful Chevrons Blanket I wanted to build on the iconic look with a bit of an update.
This blanket is done in basic crochet stitches (sc and hdc) but in a variety of ways to add texture while the 2 colors create stripes to really highlight the classic chevron look. Settle in to the rhythm of this design and watch as the blanket builds and keeps you cozy.

I purchased the beautiful Chevron Blanket yarn kit that included yarn and digital pattern as a project for my daughter. Love the traditional Chevron pattern and this one has unique patterns for each zig zag which gives it a nice texture and makes it fun to crochet. It is an easy pattern to follow once you get used to it. The yarn colour choice was good and we chose the Pink Salt which is a nice peachy blush colour and Antique White. The texture of this blanket makes it incredibly warm so it will be perfect for winter.
The yarn has no pull skein tag, the instructions are complicated and take too many steps to complete a row, tear out, redo and so forth. I thought it would be an easy pattern to complete but as it is, it is turning out to be constant counting and correcting. I don't think the end project will look like the sample. Plus, it was expensive for the inconvenience of the huge ball of yarn to deal with
