The chickadee crop is well written with many pictures to clearly guide one through the process of twisting the hem, attaching body to hem, etc. It also has some good tips on managing hdc with its three loops, great for anyone who gets confused at times. All told, it’s considered intermediate perhaps because of many specialized details and stitches, though the top actually looks quite simple.
