I just made my second Nest blanket. I love this pattern! I enlarged it slightly to use up allll the yarn and make it more of a true lapghan size, so my version is 78 stitches and 20 rows per colorway. I made this most recent one in Marine, Harbor, Mist, Fatigues, and Haze, and it came out just the way I wanted! I will absolutely make this again--maybe next time in just 3 colors (marine, harbor, haze, harbor, marine) just to switch it up. Hue + Me is such a joy to work with, and this pattern is so simple and works up so elegantly!
This color block blanket pattern was easy to follow, easy to adjust and quick to make. In fact, I was pleased to find that I could add 6 inches of width and still have enough yarn in one skein to do each block of color. The
combinations of color available in hue + me
yarn make for myriad variations, so I’ll use this again.
I love this kit. The pattern is super simple and quick. It's great for a last minute baby gift that looks straight out of a boutique. This is the first time I've used hue + me yarn, and the colors are beautiful. It is quite a bulky yarn and crochets up thick. In fact, this blanket initially felt more like a rug. After washing it with fabric softener and tumble drying it on low with a dryer sheet, it is softer and drapes better.
