Stunning Detail with this yarn!

I only just discovered this Vanna’s Choice last year and have started three projects, I love it so much. It’s a substantial yarn, yet soft, and with crocheting it rarely splits. The stitch details really stand out. I love that you can either wash or dry clean it, depending on the project, I might prefer to dry clean. One drawback would be the low yardage per skein; in making floral squares, using a 5.0 crochet hook, I can only get 3 squares out of a skein. I recently finished a queen-sized afghan, 56 squares plus a wide border required 24 skeins total. So not cheap, so about $140 with tax and shipping. I used the color called linen. (Pictured) About every fourth skein I would run into a cut. I guess that’s about par. I have another project I’m working on in the Vanna’s Choice dusty purple and the skeins seem to be several yards shorter than the linen color, which makes a big difference for me. Still, I love this yarn.

Great color, consistent thickness, not as soft/ fluffy

Paired Vanna's Terracotta with Landscapes Volcano to make a child's cardigan (ribbing and body, respectively). This yarn is not as soft as Heartland/ hometown/ landscapes lines but was pleasant to work with. Vibrant color.

multiple cuts in yarn

There ere over 8 ends in the navy skein I purchased with this honey color. I trid to return but could not get through all the screens as my computer vision is poor. I will not buy again from this site even tho I have been happy with this particular yarn for years.

Hello Jean - our apologies for those extra ends in your yarn! Please contact our quality control team at [email protected] so we can help rectify this issue. If you still have your yarn bands we'll need the dye lot information from those.

Oatmeal color.

I purchased this yarn online, so I was a little surprised with the “hairiness” of the black flecks throughout the yarn. I used the yarn to crochet a sweater with the granite stitch. Overall, the little strands of black are probably not going to be noticeable but next time I would probably use a solid color.

This is a great heavier 4 weight yarn

This yarn is super cozy and warm! It works up more like a 5. The pattern I used is by Janine Myska called “Vintage Moon.” I used Vanna’s in Oatmeal.
