Not enough yardage for pattern

I bought this yarn to use for the Urban Grid Afghan, a Lion Brand pattern. The pattern called for 2 balls of each color. I have had to purchase an additional 3 balls of the charcoal to complete the project! A total of 5 balls of charcoal was needed! Additionally, the three other yarn colors (Grey Marble, Oatmeal and Fisherman) called for 2 balls. I had to purchase an additional ball for all three colors in order to complete the project. In total I initially bought 8 balls of yarn and ended up buying an additional 6 balls! The pattern should probably be adjusted to reflect this. I followed the pattern as far as the number of stitches to cast on and the number of rows for each strip. Despite this, I am very happy with the results! It is going to be a wedding gift for a young couple.

Hi Jo - our apologies for any confusion on the yarn amount! This pattern was originally made in our Wool-Ease Thick & Quick Bonus Bundle skeins, which had twice the yardage of the regular Wool-Ease Thick & Quick skeins. That yarn has been discontinued, but if you use the 'Select Substitute' option on the pattern page you can change the yarn to regular Wool-Ease Thick & Quick and the quantities for each color will automatically update.

Absolutely loved!

I crocheted myself a scarf with around 4 skeins of the Night Shadow yarn (it is a very long scarf) and I love it so! Can’t wait for autumn and winter to roll around :]

Wonderful - as always

This is my second blanket pattern with Wool Ease Thick and Quick. I loved the finished product of my first blanket - and I wanted to make a second. Does not split and soft on the hands. I washed the first blanket on delicate cycle in a netted bag - then hung it up on the pitch railing to dry. Dried quickly here in the dry air of Colorado. So happy with purchase. I just waited until it went on sale to get the best deal - and I got a good one!! Highly, highly recommend!!

The most beginner friendly and forgiving

Not really a beginner knitter, but am definitely a beginner in actually finishing my projects. I knitted this sweater vest for my brother for his birthday using the gingerbread and Coney Island colors. The gingerbread looked exactly like the preview. The Coney Island definitely had variations, but that happens with multi colored yarn. Still turned out great and the yarn was easy to use and forgiving. The sweater I made for myself was with fisherman and Hudson Bay.

This yarn is easy to work with!

I bought this yarn in the Sequoia color way. I knit the Top Down Raglan Cardigan with it! I am very pleased with the results!
