Nice yarn

I chose six colors to make six of the Beadboard afghans by LittleRedKnits. The yarn is easy to work with and never splits, even when making all of the clusters in the beadboard pattern. So far I have used the latte, blush, aqua, and am starting with black. I felt like the latte and blush were a little scratchier than the darker colors, but not so much that I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. The skeins have an ample amount of yarn, and I was able to make a nice size lapghan with just four skeins.

Great yarn but...

This yarn is surprisingly soft and the colors are rich and full so cheers to that. BUT there's a but: the tension during the spinning step seems to be off, I have a huge difference in spinning between relatively close parts. Some are under spun and so are fluffy and large and others are over spun and are tiiiny, harder and tend to wave and loop. You can see what I mean in the picture I added. If that's not an issue for your project (it isn't for mine) by all means, buy it, it is still a beautiful yarn. However, if you need a consistent yarn, choose something else.

I received my yarn and it looks great- I haven’t made my project yet but downloading the pattern was easy and the instructions look easy as well as I’m a beginner

Superb!

I'm a big fan of roving yarn, and this one checks all the boxes for me. It works beautifully, is soft but not scratchy, has lots of yardage, has a tremendous price-to-yardage ratio, and has some good color options. The details in the project I'm currently knitting show well. It's durable, and I see myself working with this yarn again.

Ewe know there is a difference?

After buying Wool Ease previously on Amazon, I was unhappy that the yardage, per skein, wasn't quite enough to make one hat because I will be working on a community service project for the entire year of 2024, and I'm planning on making LOTS of crocheted hats. When I looked directly on the Lion brand website, I was excited about the additional Wool Ease colors AND that the additional yardage per skein was enough to complete each adult medium hat. What could be more perfect? Well........ I actually ordered THINKING I was getting the 80% Acrylic/20% Wool Ease variety like I had previously ordered on Amazon. When I received this yarn it was 100% wool........ I had no clue when I ordered it that Roving Origins meant something different. The bottom line is that now when completing the final step of making a hat (drawstring pull up to secure the closure at the top), the 100% wool yarn is not strong enough and it breaks. I need to secure the hats at the top instead with an acrylic yarn to get a tight, secure pull up closure.
No biggie, it was more of a reading problem for me than a yarn problem :-)
