Wonderful yarn

I absolutely love this yarn! It is very soft, 100% wool, which is very important to me, and it knits up without a problem. I used it as is, no additional yarn running with it, and I had no problem with the thread breaking. It was a delight to work with. The yarn is spun at slightly different thickness, which gives the garment a nice texture and look. I also love the other earthy colors and ordered more yarn to make a vest. When this yarn is on sale, it's a real find. The pics show the unfinished sweater before blocking.

Lovely budget single-ply!

This was my first time buying this yarn, though I’ve had my eye on it for a long time now. The color selections are lovely! It’s squishy and light, just as wool should be. It isn’t as soft right out of the skein as more expensive single ply yarns, but that should improve with gentle washing. This yarn is better using a stitch or pattern you are familiar with, as you also must be careful when frogging as it tends to tangle and matte together (any yarn like this does). Overall it adds a rustic, homemade elegance to a pattern, especially for hats and cowls/scarves. I am using it for a (crochet) herringbone stitch cowl and am very pleased with how it is coming along. I will definitely be buying more!

Nice yarn

I chose six colors to make six of the Beadboard afghans by LittleRedKnits. The yarn is easy to work with and never splits, even when making all of the clusters in the beadboard pattern. So far I have used the latte, blush, aqua, and am starting with black. I felt like the latte and blush were a little scratchier than the darker colors, but not so much that I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. The skeins have an ample amount of yarn, and I was able to make a nice size lapghan with just four skeins.

Great yarn but...

This yarn is surprisingly soft and the colors are rich and full so cheers to that. BUT there's a but: the tension during the spinning step seems to be off, I have a huge difference in spinning between relatively close parts. Some are under spun and so are fluffy and large and others are over spun and are tiiiny, harder and tend to wave and loop. You can see what I mean in the picture I added. If that's not an issue for your project (it isn't for mine) by all means, buy it, it is still a beautiful yarn. However, if you need a consistent yarn, choose something else.

Lush and lovely!

I am enjoying this soft and beautiful yarn immensely! It flows through my fingers enabling me to maintain a consistent tension. I'm using it for fingerless mittens and I feel like its the perfect choice. So far (knock wood), I've not had to work around any knots - always a good thing.

Hard to frog, sheds

I love the look of this yarn and the texture and color, but it sheds all over my desk while using it like I’m petting a cat that hasn’t been brushed. It’s also a little scratchy, but not unbearable to use, just not soft. When I double it up and use a bigger hook, it is much easier to work with. I’m also curious if I’m allergic to wool since I’ve never used it before and I had to keep putting chapstick on my lips since they’d get super dry only when I was using it. I usually drink coffee while crocheting and I couldn’t with this one since I was worried about the fibers getting into it since it sheds so much.
