Great material

I made a sweater with this. The skeins are just big enough that you don’t have a ton of connections in the finished piece. I didn’t have a single knot or any flaws in the yarn, and it’s soft and comfortable to wear

The proper "bluebonnet" blue

I'm knitting the Big B end National Park hat from Nancy Bates' book, "Knitting the National Parks. I researched and ordered a lot of yarns from different companies to match all the colors in the pattern, and Wool Ease Recycled Royal Blue is just right to embroider the bluebonnets that are iconic in Texas and at this park. As you can see from the picture, I have only gotten two and a half flowers embroidered, but they look fine to me and the yarn is easy to work with.

Love this yarn!!

Great yarn, nice and soft, doesn't split easily. I also love that it's made from recycled product. Crocheted it double and it looks great! :)

Yarn is soft. Color good but it looks more like a group 3 instead of 4 so I may have to adjust gauge and play yarn chicken.

Not what I expected

Since it is the same weight and very close yardage per skein, I expected that the recycled version would knit up like the original version. The recycled version is definitely thinner than the original wool-ease worsted. It feels more like a DK weight, and I had a hard time achieving guage on my pattern without making the stitches look too open. Also, the Royal Blue color is more like a peacock blue than royal. I bought 5 skeins to make a gift and will have to find a different yarn that is both truly worsted weight and truly royal blue to make the piece the way I envisioned it. Having said that, though, I will keep it in my stash and it feels like it will work up well for a drapey shawl.

Very nice, and recycled!

I really like the fact that this is a 100% recycled yarn. It also is of a very good quality, spun well, nice bit sheen to it, but not to much. I do not particularly like the Re-Tweed yarn, which is also recycled and feels cheap and more like a movers blanket. I guess it depends on the original material that is being recycled. This yarn is very nice to work with. I make dog sweaters with it. Especially the blue and green color are beautiful.
