I’ve been making hats to donate for over a year. I’ve just purchased the Wool Ease Fair Isle yarn. The first hat I made with this my grandson said was the most beautiful hat I’ve made yet! The patterns that come from this yarn make it look like color work which I haven’t tried yet.
This yarn is so fun to work with. It is very warm, as well. I crochet (I don’t know how to knit) so it took a bit for me to find an appropriate sweater pattern to make this yarn shine. When I finally finished my sweater, it was lovely. I’ve ordered several colors. Both of my 20-something daughters have requested sweaters with this yarn.
I purchased the pine green and just love the way the colors blend together and create a beautiful pattern of complementary colors. The wool is easy to work with and very soft. I’m a beginner and am very satisfied with my results.

I absolutely love this yarn!! I think I have purchased all colors. Each project turns out perfectly. I get 3 hats out of one skein and they are all unique. What I really like is that the fair isle patterning of the yarn makes it look like I am a skilled knitter, which I am not. The yarn has a really nice feel also!
I saw this yarn in a catalogue and was immediately intrigued. I couldn’t wait for it to arrive. Then when I started stitching, I couldn’t put it down! It was so exciting to watch the yarn work it’s magic and the pattern come to life. Never have I completed a project so quickly! I wasn’t smart enough to coordinate the color ways, I just embraced what the yarn gave me
