Nice DK yarn, soft, works up well, but still not as soft/comfortable as Wool Ease recycled

I purchased this yarn as it was part of a kit and wanted to see how the DK compares to the wool ease recycled. It's comparable in weight and similar in yardage(slightly more with this yarn). It isn't as soft, even after steam blocking, but is manageable against bare skin of arms, I still have to wear a tank top with it or my sensitive skin would throw a fit.
I didn't have texture issues working it up and that's huge as I really can't stand anything with an off texture.
I was sad about the fact that I ordered this yarn as part of a kit, I was sent the number of balls the kit stated it required, the same number for both a M and L despite extra rows for the L, checked gauge, and was making the M size vs the L, yet still ended up short. This is unfortunately the second kit in this same order where the amount of yarn in the kit ran short and I had to make modifications to the patterns to finish them off. It's not exactly the end of the world, but I am disappointed that I couldn't even finish off the bottom ribs of the sweater after all those hours of work. I've also never run short on yarn kits before, so it was an unpleasant surprise.
Anyway, good yarn for those who are fine with a tad more texture, enjoy standard Wool Ease yarn but want a DK weight or can't find the exact color in the Wool Ease recycled line. I'll probably buy another ball just so I can finish off the pattern, the bottom hem should have 2-3 more FPDC alternating with SC to match the pattern, but I'll be weighing any future balls before I break into them to see if it's truly a full ball.

Worked up a beautiful shawl

I enjoyed using this yarn for the Falley Shawl pattern. Because of the wool content, it was a bit drying to my hands and the yarn did separate a little when I had to fix mistakes. But, overall, I am pleased with the finished project and would purchase this yarn again.

Beautiful!

I bought Wool Ease as a kit for a cardigan. I'm not finished yet but already am so impressed with this yarn. It's not splitting or tangling, it slides well thru my fingers. So far the drape is beautiful. I can't wait to see how this sweater finishes.

great worsted weight yarn

This yarn is versatile. Perfect for worsted weight projects. Also works well to knit on slightly smaller and larger needles for various effects (and levels or warmth). Comfortable for knitting (not rough on the skin as you knit).

a good pick for baby projects

I bought this (purple in the picture) to go with some Baby Soft (green in the picture) in a crochet blanket, because I couldn't find the color I wanted in that yarn. It's a little bit heavier, but they work well together. Still in progress but working up very nicely. Would buy again.
