Heirloom baby blanket quality

The fabric made with Truboo has a truly luxurious feel to it. I took one star away only because I had to work very slowly with this yarn. It splits easily, but it can be avoided. The finished product is well worth the extra time. The stitches are very defined and the detail shows well. It looks and feels like a high quality, silky blanket.

Lace Summer Wrap (crochet)with Truboo Yarn

I am enjoying working with this yarn, it is so soft & shiny, & slips nicely through my fingers. It is prone to a little splitting but if I take my time & am careful I can mostly avoid splitting. I am making a summer shawl with a pattern kit purchased from Lion Brand. This yarn is a perfect weight for a summer wrap. The finished pattern is beautiful, & it is a nice pattern to work, however the pattern instructions are not very concise. I am including a photo of the wrap in process as not finished yet!

LOVE!

I really like this yarn. It has its cons, but the pros outweigh. It's super soft, delicate, and while it's labeled a DK 3 weight, it's definitely more like a sport weight. I think that's the most important to keep in mind when gauging if this will work for a project that calls for DK weight yarn. I personally go this to make bookmarks, knowing it was lighter than typical DK. Splitting is an issue. I really love my inline hooks, but they catch a lot. Which is frustrating. That's honestly my biggest issue. I do wish they had some brighter, richer colors. But overall, I'm a fan!

Beautiful colors!

At first I found Truboo to be so difficult because of splitting. Once I discovered the right size hook for Truboo and the pattern (H hook) it’s been smooth sailing. I still have to be very careful but it’s so much better. I’m making the “Yarn Candy Scarf” and I’m enjoying the result very much. Thank you, LB!

I really liked working with this yarn. I used it to create amigurumi animals and my crochet hook just glided through the yarn. I was thrilled with the results. I do not know if this yarn can be washed or not, but I chose it mostly for the colors and weight for my projects.

Hello Debra - items made from Truboo can be machine washed but should be laid flat to dry. With a stuffed animal like an amigurumi we would suggest spot cleaning as the best method.

Silky & slippery

This is my first try with bamboo. It's a loose twist, which means some splitting. The yarn is really silky feeling. Although it's classed as a 3 weight, it's on the skinny end of a 3. I used a 4 mm hook. This yarn worked up beautifully, nice drape, but it was a bit slippery in my hands and kept getting away from my grip. (User issue?) the ball looked small, but I got a baby sweater and bonnet from just one skein. I haven't laundered it yet, but so far I like the product and would get it again.
