This is Isle of Skye. Beautiful yarn with small silver sequins. Feels like an acrylic yarn but not in a bad way.
I expected the sequence to be positioned throughout the yarn but it was many rows into my project before I saw any. They were spaced few and far between. The yarn was a bit hard to work with at the beginning of my project as it kept splitting its layers. It is a very pretty yarn and I am looking forward to seeing the finished project.
This is the second time I've ordered Sunset Nights. This yarn is so soft and works up beautifully! The sequins add just the right amount of sparkle. I'll absolutely be ordering more!
Pros: Beautiful color and the transitions were stunning. It had a beautiful, soft hand. The sprinkling of tiny sequins added glamour. Cons: It was a bitch to work with. It was just two strands of embroidery floss twisted together. It was constantly splitting and catching my crochet hook. The sequins were just one more thing for the hook to catch on. Most irritating.
The yarn has very pretty colors and is easy to work with. I was disappointed however that one whole section of the yarn had no sequins. All three rolls I purchased had the same issue.
Hello Carol - it's a bit hard to tell from the yarn pictures, but there are sections of this yarn that do not have sequins spun into it. Apologies for any confusion!
This yarn is so soft, and the sequins are barely noticeable (they are not scratchy). I also love that the sequins don't go all the way to the ends,. It makes it easier to make necklines.
The colors are so beautiful, and the gradient is perfect.
