Good Quality, Okay Colors

First, let me start by saying that I am very much enjoying working up all of these socks. The yarn is overall a good quality, as I've found only a few roving places and no knots in the two skeins I've used so far. A few other reviews said it was scratchy and I don't disagree, but it doesn't bother me or strike me as anything unexpected. I'm assuming it will get a bit softer (or at least bloom a little bit) in the wash. The colorways are my biggest issue with the yarn so far. There's really not a single shade that I truly love, which is not a hard achievement in most all lines. The only one I liked was "Paloma," but it has been unavailable (and not even offered) since I first tried to purchase these before Thanksgiving. I will admit that ones like "Martini" are very original and I haven't seen any like that color, I find myself only enjoying half of the craft because the colors have let me down so much. I also wish (WISH!!!) Lion Brand would bring back the solid color Sock-Ease, or at least just a white and black for heels and toes. That was my favorite white sock yarn to hand dye.

Scratchy

This yarn is easy to work with but is very stiff and scratchy. Knitted one sock from center pull and began the mate from the same skein and it had different colors. See picture. Not sure if I’d order this again

Excited for this comeback!!

This is my 1st time using Sock Ease in the color way Martini and I love the colors! The yarn was not as soft as I thought it would be but it’s workable. I would have loved to have solid yarn options for contrasting heels, cuffs, and toes. I have 2 more skeins and can’t wait to see how they knit up!!

Love this sock yarn

Working on a pair of TAAT cuff down socks with Sidecar colorway.

Sock Ease Bramble

Really nice color mix. A rather fine yarn compared to other sock yarns I have used, but I will follow pattern directions. Good yardage/skein. Real key to socks is how they wear (after all that work). But a good winter project yielding socks unique to wearer! Excellent customer svc, very quick delivery. Normally, I prefer to shop in store to compare colors/yarns, but this is unavailable locally.
