Very pretty and easy pattern to follow.

I expected better

A pretty pattern but it feels frustratingly incomplete. The special "cord stitch" is only given a short explanation, a diagram would have been appreciated as it bares no resemblance to any other designers version of a cord stitch. Later, we are told "following photo, sew leaves to Afghan," this direction blithely ignores the fact that there is only one photo, which is a full length shot of an all cream afghan, on a pattern which most of us will be printing. Finally, we are given a 54 row, 116 stitch wide chart for the bird section, which has been shrunk down to half a page at best and no clear way to expand it for printing. Again, this is a beautiful pattern, but Lion Brand really needs to consider some reformatting for it to be "easy to follow."
