I love the thick and quick yarn from Lion it knits up so quick. We have a new fire pit outside and I wanted some beautiful cable throws to put out there that would be easy to care for and this fit the bill 100%.
I’m trying to be more eco conscious with my crafting and I love that this is recycled material. It’s also a brezze to work with, for the most part, if you have to frog it can’t get quite caught on itself.
This is one of the worst purchases I’ve made in awhile.
So disappointing.
Yarn has so many frays and knots every few inches.
Then to make the length correct a short piece of yarn is tied to either front or back of skein.
This is a kit but feels like not enough yarn to complete.
There were only 5 skeins sent, not the 6.
The color is beautiful!
Hello Mary - We are so sorry you experienced quality issues! Occasionally the mill will need to join a new strand in as the yarn is being wound, or the equipment will cause a small imperfection to occur. When you encounter a knot or small imperfection, simply cut that section from the yarn and rejoin just as if you were starting a new ball (i.e., leave a tail of 4-6' to be woven in later, then begin working with the new section, leaving another 4-6' tail to be woven in).
I used this yarn in conjunction with 2 other LB yarns to design a throw and it is very soft and easy to use. I don't yet know how it holds up or washes but LB usually has good quality so I'm assuming things will be fine,.
I love this yarn for its softness, but unfortunately I had to add 3 to 4 extra joins to the shawl I am knitting because the second skein of yarn was full of knots. I had to cut out those spots to avoid knitting big knots into my project. It is enough of an inconvenience that I wouldn't purchase this particular yarn again, although I am still a fan of Lion Brand yarns in general. (Included photo of yarn label in case it is maybe just an issue with this batch of yarn)
