Very soft, but splits a lot and lots of knots

I’ve used up one skein so far out of 5 that I bought, and it is definitely a lovely soft yarn that feels maybe a bit softer than wool-ease t&q. There is also quite a bit of yardage for the price, and I like the slight sheen. However, it’s a very “splity” yarn which has made it nearly impossible for me to frog more than a few stitches. My first skein also had 5 cuts/knots in it which is a bit frustrating (3 were in the last 20% of the skein). I also don’t love that it’s hand wash only because the ease of care is one of the big benefits of wool ease t&q and I was hoping this would be a more sustainable substitute, but for larger projects or donated projects, machine washability is key. I’ll use up my remaining skein, and may continue to purchase for small projects that won’t be washed too often, but probably won’t be using this for any large projects

Hello Ashleigh - our apologies for the excessive knots in your yarn! If you come across more than 3-4 knots in a single ball of Re-Spun Thick & Quick, please save the label (we'll need the dye lot number) and email our quality control team at support@email.lionbrand.com. We do recommend hand-washing items made from this yarn since the yarn has a looser ply (less twist) than Wool-Ease Thick & Quick, which makes it softer, but also a little more prone to fuzziness. Hand washing and laying flat to dry will keep your finished items looking their best!

Good chunky yarn

Loved how soft it is and the color Sepia rose was perfect. The only problem I had was that it would fuzz up from the yarn splitting while knitting. I understand stand knots but not as soon as 10" in and another 60". I will order more because the issues were minor and the yarn is soft and pretty.

Nice super bulky yarn

Knitting a blanket with this yarn. I’ve only encountered 2 knots in 3 skeins so far. Works up quickly on 11 needles. The yarn is a bit fuzzy against certain fabrics so the fuzz transfers to clothing. Also love the fact that there’s over 200 yds to a skein!

cherry-hued coat a catalyst for creative enjoyment

This wool knitted up quickly from an amorphous bundle of warmth and softness into an equally soft but shaped dog's jersey. I would love to knit more jerseys using some of the other inspiring colors for the rest of my yorkie brood.

Soft and chunky!

Re-spun is great to work with. It is a little thinner than wetq but much softer on the skin. Double the yardage too! Making this lovely cabled wrap with size 13 needles and it is turning out fabulous! This color is Night sky and going to order Raven next.
