Hello, I am confused with the written pattern for both Ebb Tide and Openwork One Skein Shawl, both seems to be simple mesh pattern. I have made these patterns before and now that I am making several shawls using Lion Brand Shawl In A Ball Yarn, I can't find the correct written pattern of .... is it Ebb Tide or Openwork that has chain 4 and a "V" stitch in the pattern? What am I going to do with 10 skeins of Lion Brand Shawl in a ball without the correct patterns? huhuhu
Please help and check the link to patterns to see for yourself. I should have saved the written patterns before but I never thought the patterns would get botched in your website.
Please do help.
Thank you.

Hello Susan - you may be thinking of the Sparkle Shawl, which does have a large chain space (ch 3) and then a V-stitch. You can find this pattern under number L80067 or L60157.
The pattern is pretty easy to follow, although I "assume" they mean to DC in the DC SPACE in Row 2, at least that is what I did. The yarn is beautiful but VERY hard to work with unless you have super good eyesight! Not for older eyes and not for beginners!
This shawl works up fast and easy to do for beginners with only double crochet and chain stitches used. Once you get the first row into the starting chain it's very simple. I like that it's worked across, rather than length-wise and when you run out of yarn you're done.
This pattern was so easy and beautiful. At first I thought the colors would not be the same on each end but, it worked out great. The only complaint I would have is that it wasn't the the width that it appears to be on the pattern picture. If I make it again, I will make it the same length, but wider.
