Avid crocheter here, but have been wanting to start knitting again after years off.
I loved this pattern! It was my first time using Hue & Me yarn, definitely won't be the last!
My only criticism of this pattern would be its lack of clarity regarding seaming (mentions seaming for only shoulders, not for the rest of the sweater) and how the sleeves are worked up (not clarified if worked flat or in the round). Other than that, I was surprised by how easy, fun, and quick this pattern was! I've already ordered more yarn in different colors to make it again.
Hi Kaitlyn - thank you for your feedback and congrats on the finished sweater!
I really liked how this looked and the fact it was a beginner, so I thought I would try it. I wanted it a little longer so I bought extra yarn. I am doing the front and back at same time on long circular needles, I am almost to the neckline at which point I will put them on two circular needles and work front and back separately. Going pretty fast and I guess a guarantee that the from and back will be same length.
Have been crocheting for many years, but new to knitting. This is my first knit wearable and the pattern is very simple, easy to follow, and the chunky yarn works up fast. I swapped the Artichoke out for Juniper to be more "me" and I love these colors together. Planning to do the cuffs in Mustard because I like it better than the white (and it will hide stains better!). The color blocking is easy to customize. Can't wait for the weather to get cooler so I can wear it!
I love this yarn and these suggested colors were great paired together. I made the sweater a little cropped but the full length from the pattern is probably more appropriate for this yarn since it's very warm so it's harder to wear it in cold weather if it's cropped.
👍🏻
This is the second sweater that I've made and my second time using one of Lion Brand's Patterns and much like the first, it was a success. I decided to change the color palate to an all blue/grey one but wish I had stuck with the pre-determined palate (as the one I made didn't have as much of a 'pop').
Some of the wording of the pattern was slightly confusing and I ended up making the sleeves separate and then seaming them on instead of just casting the stitches onto the armholes (I couldn't understand how I was meant to). Overall, it's an easy to understand pattern and I'm glad I was able to try a new technique while making it!
