I wanted a thick, somewhat stiff yarn for a rug and couldn't be more pleased with this yarn. The colors are beautiful, and it works up well without any splitting.
I don't know that I'd ever use it for any kind of clothing, but I bet it would make some beautiful baskets.
I realized this is a bulky yarn but while knitting the Afghan shown on the website, turning out more like a rug. Not soft and hard to work with. Hoping it will soften after washing. Love the colors though.
I'm crocheting the Reflections Throw. It's all double crochet. I found the yarn easy to crochet with, though the stiffness of the throw was more than I expected. I don't think I will make another throw with this yarn unless I need to make one for the Arctic Circle. It may be okay for a rug or ottoman or a dog sled cover as it has a lot of body stiffness to it. I do love the colorway of Labyrinth. I would love a softer 5-weight yarn that would drape for a thick beanie and scarf in this colorway. My photo doesn't show how beautiful the colors are.
I love working with this yarn and have made several bags for gifts.
I really like this yarn, and even though it takes a while for my purchases to arrive ( to the UK ) I'm happy to wait for orders as, they have so far always arrived and not ended lost in transport, and to get yarn that I can't find in the UK it's definitely worth the £9 shipping fee,. The photo doesn't really do the colours justice, ( stairwell )
